A Message from the ED about Upcoming Cancellations

Dear Theatre Patron:

As you know, Washington Governor Jay Inslee has closed all schools in our state through April 24 th due to the COVID-19/Corona Virus pandemic. Further, all public gatherings and events in our county have been limited to no more than 250 people. These included arts, civic, sporting, parades, etc., among others.

Postponing or canceling performances is an extremely difficult decision to make, but we know it is the socially responsible thing to do in order to best serve our community.

Therefore, we are canceling all performances starting Monday, March 16th through April 24th . If you have tickets to any of the events listed below, our ticket office staff will reach out to you starting Monday to discuss your options. Or feel free to contact us at 360.575.8499. Please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we can

Spring is the Columbia Theatre’s busiest time of the year. We have a dozen events already scheduled, along with dance recitals, rentals, and a fundraiser! We are hopeful that many of these will continue to take place. Of those that are canceled we hope that some or all will be re- scheduled for a later date.

Please stay in touch with us, checking our website regularly at www.columbiatheatre.com. We will continue to communicate clearly our plans and any updates about additional show cancellations or postponements.

One Final Note…

It is impossible to postpone performances without creating serious and lasting hardships for the wonderful artists we bring in and for our organization. The health of the Columbia Theatre is at risk too, with more than $200,000 in revenue at stake. We are hoping you will consider sharing this burden by supporting your Columbia Theatre during this difficult time. We need you now more than ever.
