Friends Campaign: What Your Support Means
The Columbia Theatre is a cultural arts resource for the entire Lower Columbia Valley. Operating on a responsible budget with four full time staff members, the association is a private, non-profit organization charged with operating the Columbia Theatre for the benefit of the community.
Less than half our support comes from ticket sales. The remainder is derived from show sponsorships, grants, and individual gifts from Friends like you. To meet our budget, we need to raise $100,000 or more in the Friends Campaign. Please help us reach our goal by contributing today. Help keep the arts alive and well in Southwest Washington.
In addition to our Main Stage Season, we offer arts education programs through our annual Summer Theatre Camp with Missoula Children’s Theatre, Fibre Federal Credit Union Rainy Months Series (programming for young families), and new this year Aerial Arts classes in July with Halcyon Shows. We also partner with the Southwest Washington Symphony on the October Children’s Concert where students are exposed to classical music and the theatre—many for the first time. Other programs include our Classic Film Series (October through May) and our intimate, on stage only, Stage Door Concerts. We do this more than 88 times a year—which by any account is remarkable.
In May and June we are proud to host our local dance recitals—where many of our children perform in a first class facility. At 800 seats, we remain the largest and most active performing arts theatre in Southwest Washington.
Your gift to the Columbia Theatre helps to make all of this happen We would be delighted if you added your name to our Friends page!
