Golden West Brass is a brass quintet comprised of two trumpets, a French horn, trombone, a tuba, and a percussionist. One of the Band of the Golden West's most flexible ensemble formations, this brass ensemble excels at community recitals, education/recruitment outreach, anthems at sporting events, and outdoor military ceremonies and honors. Golden West Brass has had the distinct honor of supporting many high-profile ceremonies over the years, from memorial services aboard the USS Midway to the honorary promotion of Brig General Buzz Aldrin. 

As part of the Band of the Golden West, the mission of Golden West Brass is to harness musical excellence to HONOR our nation and those who have served, INSPIRE patriotism and resilience in our Airmen, Guardians, and nations’ citizens, and CONNECT the Air Force with the American public and community partners. The excellence demonstrated by our brass quintets reflect the excellence displayed by all Airmen stationed worldwide, whose selfless service and sacrifices ensure the freedoms enjoyed by citizens of the United States of America.
