About the Show: Hercules
Adapted by Michael McGill and Joseph Martinez • Music & Lyrics by Michael McGill
The Olympic Games are about to begin, and excitement is building as the Cyclopes and Titans prepare for a fierce but friendly competition. There’s just one problem—the tournament can’t start without Hercules. Will the world’s most famous strongman light the flame in time, or will his legendary tardiness delay the festivities?
Join a cast of mythical creatures, Olympians, and everyday heroes in a story scholars will talk about for ages—one that reminds us that true strength comes not from muscle, but from character.
About Missoula Children’s Theatre
The Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) is the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre, bringing original productions to nearly 1,000 communities worldwide each year. Each tour team arrives with everything needed to stage a full show—sets, costumes, lights, props—everything except the cast.
Through an open audition, 50–60 local students are selected to perform. Over the course of one week, they rehearse, learn, grow, and take the stage in two public performances. MCT’s original adaptations put a fresh twist on classic stories and fairytales, offering young performers a chance to shine while building creativity, confidence, communication skills, and teamwork.
In addition to its touring program, MCT is based in Missoula, Montana, where it runs a robust lineup of local programs including:
• Youth Series: musical theatre day camps and performing arts classes
• Performing Arts Camp: a sleep‑away experience for students from around the world
• Community Series: large‑scale productions featuring local talent of all ages
MCT’s mission is to empower children and adults through theatre education and performance, enriching communities worldwide through the magic of live theatre.
