Lightwire Theater’s “The Adventures of Tortoise and Hare: The Next Gen” is a modern, visually stunning reimagining of Aesop’s classic fable, blending electroluminescent puppetry with heartwarming storytelling.

The show begins with the familiar tale of Tortoise and Hare, but then jumps 10 years later. Now parents themselves, Old Man Tortoise and Big Daddy Hare face a new challenge: their children, Tortoise Junior and Lil’ Hare, are caught in a high-tech, distraction-filled world dominated by smartphones and video games.
