$12.6 Million Capital Campaign |
The Why
Our magnificent Historic Theatre and “Crown Jewel” of Southwest Washington
has become shopworn from decades of use. This project will preserve the
Theatre’s 1925 architectural integrity while adding important new amenities
for patrons and artists: new seating that is wider and more comfortable, new
restrooms, new heating and ventilation system, expanded ADA seating, larger
lobby with centralized ticketing services, new safety equipment and fire sprinkler
system, new sound, lighting and technical capabilities for contemporary artists,
and renovated dressing rooms and backstage areas.

The How
We need your help. We are 2/3 of the way to our $12.6 million capital campaign
goal, thanks to the $6.1 million from the PFD, a $1.5 million challenge grant from
the City of Longview and other grants and donations. We need your support to
raise the remaining $3 million. That is why every local donor and donation is critical.
Won’t you step forward and make a pledge to support your Columbia Theatre?
This is a “once in a generation” opportunity to help us restore this magnificent
treasure for future generations to enjoy.

May 4 Living Theatre Tour a Success! |
A Special Thanks to the performers, backstage crew, volunteers and visitors!!! YOU made this event a success! More than 500 people spent an afternoon with us absorbing the Columbia Theatre’s rich history, learning about the capital campaign, taking a backstage tour, watching old films, munching hot popcorn and enjoying the many live performances.
A Day in the Life of a “Working” Vaudeville Theatre was created to inform the public about the planned $12.6 million renovation. The Living Theatre Tour may be over…but the Columbia Theatre still needs
your participation and financial support. Click on the various links and find out how you can contribute. |
