Neil Berg's 101 Years of Broadway

Friday, October 17 – 7:30 pm
Columbia Theatre

Ticket prices: $20 - $44,
Gold Seats only: student/senior/group discount

“100 Years of Broadway is two and a half hours of fun! Whenever Neil Berg is putting on his “100 years of Broadway within a two-hour radius – I’m there! Neil puts on these hit-filled concerts featuring a bevy of Broadway performers singing some of the theater’s most well known tunes. It brought down the house, and it doesn’t get much better than that.” - Robert Diamond, Broadway.com

101 Words on Neil

Neil Berg is a prolific composer and musical showman with multiple projects to his name. He is best known as the composer/lyricist of the hit Off-Broadway musical The Prince and the Pauper, which ran for two years at the Lambs Theater in New York. His Broadway-bound Grumpy Old Men: the Musical is based on the contemporary movie classic starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. A major New York reading is scheduled this fall with Emmy Award-winning actor Christopher Lloyd (Taxi and Back to the Future) and Tony Award-winning legend George Hearn (La Cage Aux Folles and Sweeney Todd) in the lead roles.

Another project, The Man Who Would Be King, is based on the Rudyard Kipling story. A regional production with the Tetonic Theatre is planned, with hopes of a national tour and Broadway run.

Encore Performance

Scratch the zero and add a one for an encore performance of last year’s phenomenal 100 Years of Broadway. What you heard was true: bravos and standing ovations from last year’s audience.

This Season, Neil Berg and his stellar cast of five “original” Broadway stars will return to the Columbia Theatre stage to sing their “signature” songs and other favorites from The Great White Way’s most beloved shows: South Pacific, Cats, Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof, Jersey Boys, The Phantom of the Opera and Mama Mia! Neil Berg, on piano, will be joined by these cast members:

Danny Zolli is best known for his monumental number of performances as Jesus, Judas and Annas in more than 18 productions of Jesus Christ Superstar throughout the world.

Raymond Jaramillo McLeod, Broadway veteran, appeared as Wreck in the Tony Award winning production of Wonderful Town.

Erick Buckley was the first person in the world to perform both the roles of Marius and Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, and also appeared as Piangi in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera.

Rita Harvey recently took over the role of Hodel in the Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof. She made her Broadway debut performing the lead role of Christine in The Phantom of the Opera.

Carter Calvert was seen in the World Premiere of Forbidden Vegas in the original cast. She has appeared as Grizabella in the national tour of Cats and as the title role in Always, Patsy Cline.
